If you like a bit of old-school glamour, look no further – Frank Sinatra and Sophia Loren used to stay here.

This was the Costa del Sol’s first luxury hotel. Back in the Fifties, it attracted the likes of Sophia Loren and Sean Connery. These days, it still gives a nod to its past with traditional touches, like marble floors and columns, wooden decor and paisley-patterned chairs.

The hotel’s right next to Torremolinos’ prom. It’s a five-minute walk to Benalmadena’s chic marina, and just a few minutes’ stroll to La Cariheula, the Spanish quarter known for its tapas bars.
